How to Do a Pirouette | Ballet Dance
I really like the look of the Pirouette and think it would match the style of my chosen character Harley Quinn. Although it seems relatively simple, the combined aspects of rotation and translation add to the difficulty. If I were to animate a section of this clip I would do my best to follow how the dancer in the video behaves. I'd focus on the way the body, legs and arms move, before then doing the rotation in the hips.
How to Do the 5 Basic Positions | Ballet Dance
I will probably not animate much from this clip but use the positions shown as reference to make the stances in my animated sequence more accurate. Having the frozen positions to study will make it much easier to notice inaccuracies.
How to perform a simple ballet sequence
I like the movement in the arms and legs in this video, I think animating it wouldn't be too complicated, and I'd likely attempt to mix this ballet sequence with the pirouette video or some stances from the Basic positions video.
I think the first clip would be very effective as a animation as the rotation in the pirouette would be challenging but interesting if done well. With the way the dancer moves in the video this would give her a good base for the animation but would also give her a wide range of opportunities if she chooses to move away from the clip slightly and have a little more freedom.
ReplyDeleteThe second clip is chosen well for a range of different ballet references. This will help her in animating different key frames and would make editing and moving her model easier. This will also help in making the moves and stances look more realistic and help with the transitions to the next pose.
I feel the third clip she has chosen would be one of the most effective to animate as the dancer moves around the screen a lot and makes good use of her space. Animating this clip may be rather simple and adding in some movement from the first clip would help create an effective animation.
